Conference Resources

Community Insights

The IntechOpen Journals team was delighted to join the International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) in Spring 2023 to showcase our Open Science Journals portfolio and highlight the importance of open science. We hosted free expert talks and provided researchers, academics, and other attendees with valuable resources and information on open science tools and policies.

At the conference, we engaged with a diverse range of individuals and speakers from various fields, including both industry and academia. It was fascinating to hear their perspectives on how open science practices benefit their work and create broader impacts. From performance artists to roboticists, many emphasised how open science drives innovation, accelerates development, and strengthens collaborative networks. Additionally, a strong network of open source supporters highlighted its significant contributions to the advancement of robotics and the future of research.

Explore & Test Your Open Science Knowledge

Conference visitors had the opportunity to test their open science knowledge, explore our open science tools and resources, and receive educational materials tailored to their expertise and interest levels. Now all these resources are available through our Open Science Hub and we invite you to explore them.

"Open Science Panel" at ICRA2023

We also organised the "Open Science Panel" a networking event where attendees could meet and exchange ideas with other researchers.

The significance of open access and open science (particularly open data) cannot be emphasized enough in our field. By embracing these principles at ACRT, we are not just adding to academic discussions—we are also making knowledge more accessible and transparent, encouraging collaboration and the dissemination of knowledge.
