Reinhart Grundmann

Dr. Reinhart T. Grundmann currently works as an independent medical expert. He is a professor of surgery at the University of Cologne and he has the qualification of general and vascular surgery. He is the former medical director of the B.Braun company, one of the leading healthcare solutions providers. In the last eight years, he has been working as the medical director of the Clinics Altotting-Burghausen, Germany. Dr. Grundmann was from 1992 until 2008 the managing director of the Zentralblatt fur Chirurgie and he is currently a member of the Editorial Board of World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery. He edited from 2001 to 2005 the Jahrbuch der Chirurgie- the book that provides information on the latest developments in surgery. Dr. Grundmann already published more than 260 scientific publications, including books and book chapters. His recent research interests lie in the field of efficiency and effectiveness in surgery. In this frame, he published workflows on liver surgery, gastric cancer, obesity surgery, and surgery for abdominal and carotid artery stenosis treatment.
