Xin-Nong Li

Dr. Xin-Nong Li, MD, FACP, a fellow of the American College of Physicians, graduated from the Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences in Guangzhou, China, in 1982. From 1991 to 1996, he conducted postdoctoral research in the cardiovascular institute at the Base University in Switzerland and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in the United States. Between 1996 and 1999, he completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the USA. Since 1999, Dr. Li has been practising as an internist in the Sutter and Mercy healthcare systems in California. He has held positions such as clinical professor of internal medicine at the School of Medicine of the University of California Davis, medical director of RX Healthy Care Service, and president of the California Chinese American Physicians Association. In 2006, he was elected as a fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern California Chapter of the ACP, chairs the ACP Committee on International Medical Graduates in the United States, and is an executive committee member and the associated secretary-general of the General Practice Division of the World Association of Chinese Physicians. He is also a member of the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Chinese American Medical Association.
