Isiaka Ajewale Alimi holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Aveiro in Portugal. Previously, he served as a Senior RF Engineer at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria and as a lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Federal University of Technology in Akure, Nigeria. Currently based at Instituto de Telecomunicações, Aveiro, Portugal, Dr. Alimi actively contributes to various R&D initiatives. He has authored over 40 technical papers and 10 book chapters and co-edited two books. His research spans AI/ML, optical communications, microwave photonics, network security, fixed-mobile broadband convergence, and resource management in access networks. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
